I can't check the code.. I'm not the best with stuff like that.

I did plug the sensor on the tube too.

Anyone else have any ideas?

If you are not capable of checking the code, especially after following the instructions in the link provided above, then you should not be touching anything on your vehicle.

Please put down all tools and take your car to a qualified mechanic to pull the code for you.

I had the same issue with my 97 civic ex. I disconnected the negative terminal from the battery and let it sit for 30 minutes (10 minutes is normal) and then reconnected it. The light did not come back on. Doing this resets the ECU and enables the computer to adjust to the new part. Doing that MAY help but I'm not the smartest guy in the world. my .02

Will turning the key to the on position, but NOT actually cranking the car up cause the CEL to come on? I had the IAT sensor unplugged at the time and turned it to the on position, but didnt start the car.

yes that will cause the cel
be sure its plugged in, reset the ecu and the cel should be gone

seriously though...if you cannot follow that very simple step by step procedure, you shouldnt be doing anything at all with your vehicle...

Cause the cel to come on and stay on till you start the car? or come on and go off after a couple seconds?

I just reset it by unplugging the battery. It was most likely because I turned the key to "on" with the IAT unplugged.

Thanks guys for the info.

And Pdiggitydogg.. I'm sure I could have done it if I wanted to, I was just asking if there was a simpler way
