Default Hood gap problem

I recently bout a 96 hatch with 99-00 conversion, and what really got to me was the hood gap, i believe that the hatch still has the 96 hood instead of the 99-00 hood, what do you guys think?

I was dealing with the same problem. hours of adjusting it. I never got it to look flushed. I got the frontend for free when i bought my car. but thats the differents between oem and aftermarket.

yep

just take off your grill, and they'll be 4 bolts holding your latch lock in place, loosen them and slide that sucker down.

it'll be a little harder to close your hood, have to pratically slam it to get it shut.

should work

also there are those little rubber mounts on the rad sport above the head light, that stops the hood from going down. You can adjust this by screwing them down further.

hope that works

What you have sir is a 96-98 core support still on there. Replace it with a 99-00 one and you will be on your way to stardom!

the core support doesnt affect the hood
only the bumper

is your front end aftermarket of oem?

no thats a 99-00 hood. try twisting the two rubber stoppers at the front of the rad support to lower it. but it could also be that you latch is too high. good luck

how about you actually look at the pictures...? You can twist the rubber spacers all day but if he does that the hood will not match up to the fenders. The hood is in perfect position as are the fenders.. It's the core support.. the space is just the bumper/headlights not sitting on the support correctly.. OR the support is fucked up OR they're all non-oem parts..

We could all guess at what is wrong all day but we need some more details from the OP. Are there Honda Logos/part numbers on the parts? Was the car ever in a wreck? Are the fenders even lined up with the doors/A-pillars?!
