Top 10 cars under $10k
Yeh, they got the price for the MR2 wrong. A good condition 95' MR2 turbo can go for $15,000. The 94-95 MR2's are very rare, and even the minor upgrades to the 1993 make them worth quite a bit more than the 91-92 MR2's. The only MR2 turbo in good condition you will find for $7,000 is a 1991-92.

Arguably one of the finest front-drive vehicles ever made, Acura's Integra (along with its Civic sibling) launched the import tuning craze that we all know and love (or despise) today. The GS-R comes powered by the still-hot 170 hp DOHC VTEC, sports a fully-independent double-wishbone suspension all around and has near-infinite tuning potential. If you can dream it, you can do it with an Integra GS-R.
Cool article.

Haha, yeah No **** dude. Good luck trying to find an excellent condition MR2 turbo for under 10k. Ain't gonna happen. Who would want an N/A mr2 also? the 5sfe motor is AWFUL. Had one in my celica... god damn useless. I doubt you'll find any mr2's in excellent condition at all. Oh and IGN, yes... it is much easier to find a good condition mr2 n/a and swap a 3sgte... especially a j-spec 3sgte. front clips are pretty much all you get imported for those cars anyways. Aww now I'm missing my toyota.
On MR2OC.com, I saw a 95 turbo being sold for over 20k!!! Its 12 years old and still 20k!!!! Granted it had 14k on it... but still!!

Yup, toyota way overused that shitty engine. I loved the displacement, but the HP numbers were awful. 135 hp/ 140 tq. Known for oil leaks.
Few people actually know about it, but there was a celica here in the states called the all-trac. had the mr2 t motor on an AWD platform in the celica body. Sweet ****** car, but very limited numbers. It was called the GT-Four overseas.
I think the 3S-GTE from the mr2 t was only used in the mr2 and celica all-trac... damn toyota... why did they stop using turbos!

I've always wondered about that too, considering the GS-R cost more when new. I think it has to do w/ good cond EM1s being harder to find than DC2s.

Unless you just love the Si for whatever reason, get the GS-R. It's faster, has a slightly bigger displacement, and has leather. Everything else is just about the same.
