whats the difference between the two camshafts. i heard the ctr keeps the valves open much longer. also would it be a great difference between the two.

 

The CTR intake cam has a very agressive profile. The exhaust cam on the ITR and CTR are the same.

 

dont even bother with the exhaust cam. Keep your B16 or GSR

 

I personally have experience with the 99-01 j-spec ITR cam. I can tell you that there is a VERY noticeable difference. You will have to get adjustable timing gears though, because base timing on the j-spec ITR motor and the b16 are different, you will need to run the intake gear a few degrees off base to get it to run like you want to. Definitely the biggest bang for your buck bolt on, your b16 or b18 will feel like a completely different motor. HIGHLY recommended.

 

how would i be able to tell the difference between the itr cams and ctr cams. some guys is selling me itr cams for 300 for both. all i know thats difference is on the cams on one side there is a 1 lining on the itr and the ctr has two. he is also selling jhp cam gears for 140. is this a good deal??
