Default Why Doesn't my Radio Work?

Ok, so the tip of my antenna was broken so i bought a basic universal antenna plugged it in and my radio still doesn't work. The stations show up on the headunit and when i Skip stations by holding the "next" tune button there's a beep that comes from the speakers. I don't get it? I used a cassette player and there was no audio, no music. This is the factory unit.

thanks

Since you hear the beep through the speakers, that would tell us that the speakers are functioning correctly. Try putting in a different radio (if it's OEM you'll need the code) and see what happens than.

I've never heard of it. But there is a first time for everything.

I had the same thing happen with one of my OEM decks. I just got a different OEM deck and it worked.

Oh, and one of the replacement decks I used developed the same type of problem on one channel after a while. I tore it apart and found a bunch of cold solder joints. I just gave up and got another OEM unit.
