Default Head Stud Torque Specs?

Ok here's my ordeal!
I installed a Edelbrock header about 6 months ago and I cross threaded one of the head studs. (Confirmed today!)Part #19

I'm going to replace the stock ones with ARP's, what is the proper torque specs on the nuts?

Sit the bottom half in the head hand tight. Then go off of what ARP says or just do hand tight.

Thanks for the quick reply

I checked the ARP website and cannot find a head stud, can I use any of the "Universal " ones? Which can be found under Header bolts & studs I know I should just call ARP Tech support and ask, just wanted to know if anyone has replaced these and can offer some advise or even suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

My Haynes manual says cylinder head bolts should be torqued to 49 ft lb.

Not sure if that's what you needed though.

i torqued mine to 75 but you just put the studs in hand tight than torque the bolts

15 pounds for all that size stud can handle without snapping or striping. i go by the size of the bolt and to what it can handle, always rember to torque the bolts twice because they do strech

I'll give the kit that lightningmotor has a shot

I think I'll try this method since I went by what the Haynes manual said and now I have two stripped studs.
