Default cars bogging no check engine light

95 civic with a b20 swap (swapped for over a year and has always ran fine) obd1 it runs fine at WOT but when you are on the throttle a litltle bit or try to cruise it will bogg down untill it almost dies than it will take off... it was throwing code 43 and 8... i replaced the distributor and that code is gone and so is code 43 but now it still runs like ****... i checked the TPS and that is fine

anybody have any ideas?

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? You might want to do some routine maintenance on that hog and see if that does anything to help out.

fuel filter was never changed but i was leaning towards that so i mght change that out anyways

the only thing i was thinking is it mihgt not be the fuel filter because it runs fine at WOT... i would think it would die down at wot but i will change it anwys and see if that does anything

thanks

Reset your ECU. If youve done all that and its still bogging out, either change or Reset the ECU, thats all that comes to my mind.

There is like 20 different bogging styles, and all 20 of them have different solutions.

Only thing you can do is get a loan from mommy and start replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, and then your exhaust gaskets, then spark plugs, do a frickin valve adjustment, and then tune it to see the fuel maps and shoot.

You obviously had a bad tune if you only tuned at WOT, Did you read up about tuning?

Oh and I dont take the mommy thing seriously, unless your mother has $$$, then why dont you ask her for a little extra $$$ to buy some cosmetic upgrades for the vehicle

check your valve clearance, its common on b20 heads to have burnt vavles on the exhaust side
