Car is still smoking... Turbo Woes.
Well I have been smoking for a while and i haven't got the slightest idea why, but tonight I decided to disconnect my line going to my oil catch can from my PCV and moved the breather filter to the PCV on the valve cover... at the same time, one piece of my intercooler piping was off ( the one on the compressor side of the turbo ) and the car didn't smoke at all...
I put the intercooler piping back on and rev'd the motor a bit and it started to smoke, but not as bad as it used to...
Hm...
So I took the small breather filter off the vlave cover's PCV and the car still smokes, but just a little bit... I have a feeling that the turbo's oil seals are shot, but anything else that could cause this problem?
Thanks,
Joshua

Make sure your turbo return line is positioned in such a way that it naturally allows the excess oil to be drained back into the oil pan. I had the same problem that you are experiencing. For the longest time I couldnt figure out why there was so much blue smoke exiting the tailpipe. Experimented a little and decided to see if my return line could be the problem. Turned out I was correct and it no longer smokes.
Good luck bro!
Good luck bro!
Turned out that my return line was too long causing a slight kink which prevented the oil from flowing freely back into the oil pan. I cut off the excess and repositioned the line making sure that there was no way that the oil can return back up into the turbo. Ever since then, the motor has been running strong with no smoke from the tailpipe.
too much resistance for the turbo seals.
Un-kinking it freed the restriction, thus the smoking, ive seen that happen alot.

Actually it was the oil catch can...
I unplugged the hose going from the PCV and installed the breather filter and the car stopped smoking...
Well time to install the other turbo and get retuned! :D
