Default A little Help please

I'm having some strange trouble with my 96 Del Sol VTEC (B16A2). Last week in Michigan we experienced some random weather, it was cold, then it was 70. During this time my car ran fine until the weather got nice. On the nice day I hit some construction on the express way, and when I clutched to start to slow down my car stalled. So I started it again and it stalled out... started... stalled. When I pulled over and popped the hood I didn't see anything weird, nor would it run long enough for me to listen. When I started the car I rev'd it up and drove off and got to my location. After it cooled down for about a half hour it was fine for about 10 mins and started doing it again. It was not overheating and was not making any strange noises, nor was the CEL coming on. The longer it sat the longer I could drive it.

A few people have told me that it could be the IACV and I should clean it before I replace it. Is there a proper way to clean it? I checked it according to the Haynes manual (Rev it to 3000 RPMs and when the fans kick on you let it drop to the idle and unplug it... it should stall out).

I'm really at a loss of what I should do, and since I'm so dependent on the car I really can't afford to have it take a dump on me every other day.

Any suggestions?

Thats pretty weird. When i hit something on the freeway somehow it damaged my distributor. Might want to check into that. Its weird that if you let it sit for a while its fine, but when you go back you have troubles.

Also there is a recall on 96-00 Civics, might be out for del sols, where the igntion key just craps out. Its a safty recall so the dealers cant turn you away.
