the other day my car was acting like its redline was like around 4000 and wouldnt rev over that while driving it would just kick me back and then it stalled

after that i tried to start it and it would start

i got it towed to my house and once it sat for a day it started fine but when i drove it around the block it did the same thing

my CEL is throwing code 21 so ive got a new v-tec solenoid coming asap

but would just the solenoid make the car not run ?


i need help ........ any suggestions

1.) what you're describing is a REV LIMIT, not a redline.

2.) it's spelled VTEC, not V-tec or vtech or vitech or any of the other stupid obscenities people turn it into.

3.) sounds like a failing/failed ignition component. Get a Helms manual and start troubleshooting.
