Cheap and easy swap
i'm thinking of getting this d15 engine from this site - http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30021 . The thing is that i have a OB2 Car and that engine i wanna buy is OB1, but i need to have OBD2 to be legal and pass inspection. WHAT do i do? someone help. Thanx in advanced
i drive a 96 civic dx D16y7, i am a real fan of the underdog stuff, so i like the sohc motors, i like the d15 but anything thats cheap and has potential like that engine, i would take suggestions
Well, if you're really into going with the underdog, stick with what you've got. The only thing worse is the D15B8 from the CX hatches.
Throw an EX intake manifold on it and boost it.
edit:
If you must have VTEC, just slap a Y8 head on it.

I had a CX hatch I beat around town in. 52mpg for the win!
8 valves forever!

i just might go for the y8, but there so damn hard to find, but my car has 220k + miles on it, i figure if i gotta do the swap, i might as well go for good swap, i'm a fan of underdog engines but with limits, and i am a fan of v-tec, so i also need cheap, cause marriage is also on the way, and that aint cheap (i know i know, dont do it) thanx in advanced....

i'm sticking to the sohc, just gotta change mines cause of the miles i have 235k, i'm starting to get small problems with the one i got, not tooo bad for those miles, and it still whips hard, .................. NEW POST.......... Love Being and underdog
