Default Is this true?

So I was going to through on a JDM ITR intake manifold on my b16 but then recently got word that since I don't have internals the intake manifold might make me lose power or also might not make any power gains at all. Is this true? Should I hold off on throwing it on until I buy internals?

Never heard of this... The ITR manifold should give you some gains...but of course you won't get all you can out of if your stock.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me...

Yeah I had never heard of it either. I mean I'm not expecting mad power but I wasn't expecting to lose power.

The only place the type r manifold will gain you is from 7k and up. The P30 has been dyno'd against it on B16's and actually beats it by a fair margin until the upper r's. However, if you have cams and a good header to back everything up, do the r.

Well I was planning on buying stage ones from skunk and the header on the car right now is a JDM ITR. So I guess the question is....is it smarter to just hold off until i buy cams?

I like my ITR IM just because it looks sexy as hell.

You can buy my p30 manifold for now to hold you off.

Otherwise I would put the ITR manifold on just cause you would have to buy another gasket to swap it out later. or buy a hondata IM gasket.

I still have my stock manifold on the car still. I also did buy the hondata IM gasket.
