Default BEST A/F Gauge?

Hi all,

What's the best A/F gauge out there in terms of reliability/accuracy? I searched to no avail. Thanks!

I heard no Air Fuel gauge is accurate. You'd be better off with an EGT(Exhaust temp.) gauge.

Thanks for the reply!

What does an EGT do exactly? Reason I'm asking is originally I wanted to get a V-AFC but I don't have $$$ or enough mods to warrant dyno tuning of any sort. I searched earlier and read that you can use an A/F gauge in conjunction with a V-AFC to smooth out your fuel curve. Thanks!

Well if you wanted a real A/F gauge those usually cost quite a bit, but they cheaper ones aren't that accurate.

AF Guages like autometer aren't used for tuning purposes. It's more of a safety device for WOT runs.

Greddy A/F guage is the best functional/bang for the buck... you can use it for more then 50% tuning purposes... its as close to wideband as your gonna get for under $1000, egt is an invaluable gauge as it reads real time and will surely let you know if something is amiss..

Just don't buy autometer a/f that is a completely worthless... I know I have one
