Default Missfireing at full boost.

So me and my buddy just changed his wastegate spring from a 7psi spring to 10psi. When he got the car tuned it was tuned for 10 psi. When the car had the 7psi spring in it, it was popping, mis-firing, or anythign at all. now that we put the 10psi spring it does. it didn't do this when the car was first tuned.

any one know whats wrong??

prob not enough fuel or too much timing.. that will lead to major damage if u keep making it "pop"

how would it not have enough fuel when it was first tuned at 10psi and ran just fine then? but when he got a different wastegate it had a 7psi spring in it and he ran that for a while and today we just changed it back to a 10psi spring...

how was it tuned for 10psi if you had a 7psi spring in it? if it was tuned at 10psi, why would he put a 7psi spring in it?

maybe the boost cut was set at 10psi?

my buddy had an innovative wastegate with a 10psi spring, but the studs that were on it to hold it to the manifold broke SEVERAL times. he then bought a tial 38mm with a 7psi spring off craigslist and he ran that for a while, now i just changed the spring to a 10psi spring in the tial.

understand now? sorry for being unclear

try gapping the plugs or changing them. also get a wideband on the car to see if its a fuel problem. with the 10 lb spring, ur probably seeing boost come in a bit quicker, so the car is probably running in some parts of the maps that it wasnt tuned for.... even though u had a 10 lb spring in before, the car might be boosting quicker with the tial gate

i still say too much timing/ not enough fuel.. be careful driving it like that till u fix. ive seen too many motors blown cause of the magic " pop" noise at WOT
