the code comes up to be tps sensor. i pulled the 7.5 fuse thats for the ecu and i also took the negative off the battery after that for like 15 minutes.did i try to reset the ecu the wrong way?
Pull your negative battery terminal- this is sure to work. The CEL may come back on, but at least you will know if it is the same code and same problem.

dude i already did that like i said. and the code still comes up to be the tps sensor. could the chech engine light stay on because its not set to the right volts or what?
Hey, I got a Pacesetter header for my 5th gen lx, and i extended my wires for the o2 sensor and plugged it back in to the header, but now the engine check light stays on? Do I have to pull the terminal on the batt to reset something?

TPS sensors aren't available without buying the whole throttlebody. So you got a used one? Any reason to suspect it maybe bad also?
Next, you can verify the wiring from the TPS back to the ECU. Your original problem may have been bad wiring, so a new TPS didn't fix it. Check for open-circuit, and check for short-to-ground. Wiggle wires while you check, it may be some insulation rubbed off, & only shorts when the wires are moved a certain way. That type of problem is a real PITA to diagnose.

i got it off of ebay, the tps seemed okay i guess, like the spring inside worked fine. i dont think it'd be the wiring because it worked before. the reason it stopped working was i tried to put a h23 im on and i had to pop the tps sensor off of my f22b2 im and put it on the h23 im. well the h23 im didn't work out so i put the f22 im back on and tried putting the tps sensor back on it but one of the legs was broken off. so the check engine went on. so ill check out the wires and insulation. would the check engine light be on because the volts aren't right? because i haven't checked that yet

Get that straightened out first, then reset & see what happens.
Also, watch the voltage as you move the throttle. It should move smoothly, not jumping around.
Is it OBD-1? ('94 according to your screen-name, but you never really said...)
If it's OBD-2, the full error code may give more detail.
