knock sensor

Default knock sensor

hey guys ive been trying to understand my hondata more and i noticed that the knock sensor has alot to do with tuning... for some reason my car isnt reading the knock, its reading 5.00 the whole time im driving,any ideas????

then why does it say that the knock sensor is one of the more important sensors when tuning in the hondata manual?

thats weird with some ecu u dont even use knock.. i would ask around on hondata

you dont need it for hondata, you can just turn it off in the options. but it is nice to hve so you can see what your limits are.
my knock is doing the same thing, 5volts all the time. Im trying to find out the problem so when I dyno I can use it to help me tune.

yea im just trying to get real familiar with the hondata,and the knock sensor is def. real important because you can be damaging the motor and not even realize,im going to try to look in options, im pretty sure ive been thru the whole thing and i didnt seen nothing to able and disable it.

you can disable the knock in the parameters section under misc. on s300

well i talked to hondata.. they said the p28 dont use knock sensor
