Default Please help.. Idle issue

I'm having a problem with my idle.. when in neutral the car will rev to about 3000rpm then dump to about 1000 rpm then keep doing it constantly.. i ahve replaced the thermostat, idle air control valve, bled the antifreeze line, vaccum lines all tested no leaks.. im just stumped as to what would be causing this problem.. thx in advance, and sorry if this has been posted b4, just dont have time to search in the middle of class lol....

yes...it can also cause an irratic idle and jerkyness when deaccelerating. It's what's wrong with my car right now

Just talked to my mechanic and he said that he had put the tps on his tester and everything came out 100% with no fail... could it still be the tps?

I have the same problem on my new teg and my old one did the same thing. I am think it is probably the IACV like that one guy said. The seem to go bad on most integs around here at least.

Also on the throttle body there are 2 sensors.. the map sensor and i think the other one is the throttle posistioning sensor.. the one that i think is the tps is located on the back side of the throttle body facing the cab of the car, if i unplug that while the car is running the idle will drop and become normal, other than the fact that the car burns very rich when i do this.. the idle remains normal until i turn my car off and start it the next time, which when i start it the next time it begins the idle surgeing
