Default Serious VTEC Problem..

Well lately I have been having a serious VTEC problem, my VTEC engages but as soon as it engages it will just sputter and kind of limp its way up till about 6000 RPM then my car will continue to accelerate prpoperly. My modification list is currently, Apexi N1 cat back w/cat delete, DC header, AEM SRI, Skunk2 IM w/ 68mm throttle body, Exedy Stage 2 clutch w/Fidanza flywheel, P28 running off Hondata S300 and an OBD1 conversion, BDL fuel rail w/ Aeromotive FPR and BDL cam gears.. I have tried everything I even replaced the VTEC solenoid, problems didn't occur until the P28 Hondata and OBD1 conversion so im guessing the problem is somewhere in there, car has had hours of tuning and still cant find the problem.. Anybody have any ideas ?

EDIT: Don't know if this matters but its a 1998 base model.

sounds like a tuning issue. since you not runing off of a stock honda ecu anymore i would open up the honda software and log everything .. maybe your going way to rich at cross over.. could be alot of things. You problems don't fall in the realm of stock ecu issues.

Oil is fine that was the first thing I checked, I replaced the VTEC solenoid like stated above, iit has to be a tuning problem though because if I ease my way into VTEC it goes fine but if I take it to 4k RPM then floor it I have the problem.
