i have an LS Vtec with hondata s200, correct oil level, correct temp., have changed VTEC silanoid (i cant spell) Vtec is suppose to kick in at 5800rpm and sometimes it kicks in at 6500/7000rpm. VTEC will kick in, then hit a flat spot and fall out, then pick right back up in VTEC and pull harder. sometimes will not even kick in at all. im really confused on whats going on, it just recently started doing this to me. im not quite sure what the problem could be, so anyone with any suggestions please let me know. thanks

 

try checking the cams

 

try checking your oil level first

then check all other fluid levels (coolant, fuel) and electrical connections, fuse box, ect...

 

oil level is fine. all fluids have been topped off, ive swapped out the ecu and check the connections, and cleaned the wires around the VTEC sylaniod. (my spelling once again sucks) i cant seem to find what the problem would be
