Stiffer exhaust hangers?
Well i have an apexi n1, and you guys all know how close it mounts to the bumper. Whenever i come to a complete stop, my rpm dips to around 600 and bounces back up to a steady idle at ~750. When it dips, the exhaust starts to vibrate and when it vibrates, the edge of the canister hits the bottom edge of my bumper. Would getting stiffer polyurethane hangers be a fix for this problem?
i dunno if this will fix your problem, but rubber exhaust hangers stretch over time... so if they're old they are moving and dipping a lot more than they should or used to.
Solution? Get new ones.
Ghetto solution? Put zip ties around them and pull tight as ****. This works good and is super cheap (bag of assorted zip ties from pep boys is $.99). Try it!

Hm...i don't think my hangers are old. My car is roughly one year old. should i still try zip tieing it? Wouldn't they melt after time?
No they won't melt. You still use the rubber hangers, just zip tie over and around the rubber ones and pull tight as you can. That'll keep everything snug and keep them from jumping around so much.

Hey guys.
Mister T first: I can get as many as you like, but that's probably not going to solve the problem. If anything, the polyurethane hangers will hold the tip up higher and closer to the bumper...not what you want. Aside from that, another issue is that polyurethane transfers more vibration to the muffler. It feels like a block of plastic...not flexible or squishy at all. I would recommend bending the two rear hangers that hold the muffler to be a little lower. If you're concerned with saggage, then I'd move up to polyurethane, but not in this case.
Edit: If you're gonna be at the expo, I'll bring it along and we'll slap it on the hanger by the control arm to see if it solves the problem.
Craig:
I've got a guy pending on the bumper cover and the headlights. I'd much rather sell them as a set and be done with it. I'm giving him until Sunday night to come through with the denero.
