remove the center console that covers the ebrake, you'll see an adjustment bolt where the 2 wires meet...just tighten it up...done..

is that handle thing the problem, or the parking brake itself?

You need to jack up the rear of the car
Start the car
Press the brakes a few times (i like 10x, but thats more than enough)
THEN you can use the adjustment nut that is under the console.

If you dont do it this way...well...youre doing it wrong, and you will not be adjusting it properly.
As long as everything is working correctly, that procedure will take care of it.

yea...my car was doing something like it...i would usually have to pull the ebrake very high and hard to make it grip but still didnt grip hard enough...so i tighten up that bolt now it works great...i didnt jack up the car like ^^^ said and it still works and havent come across any problems...but hey, whats a little extra work thatll give the same results??

Its not the same result...
Trust me, if you do it the way its supposed to be done, your brakes will work much better - both parking and in general use.
