getting it from a junkyard might be sketchy business cause you don't know how old it is and what it's been through laying in the yard. They aren't overly expensive so I'd highly recommend getting a new one. Dont get Bosch of course...

but what i don't get is that why does the check engine light pop up after we uninstall the o2 sensor and put it back.. honda must made a way that whenever u remove the o2 sensor.. to make the sensor go faulty.. has to be.

also is both codes related to bad o2 sensor?

yea u probably accidentally touched the head of the o2 sensor. if i were you i would just get a new one. i wouldn't trust o2 sensors from junkyards. i'm not sure if this affects you or not. but i remember i went to the honda dealer a while ago and they told me that my car was on emissions waranty or something. and it covers all check engine light including o2 sensors. so maybe you should check if u got that warranty on your car.

will driving with a bad o2 sensor prematurely wear out the engine.. or even make carbon build up?

I don't think it will be that hazardous. Prolonged it can, from what I know but the biggest deal is gas mileage and car performance...
It messes up your oxygen/fuel mixture

Here's a good explanation..

it doesn't matter if you touch the head of it. Are you sure its all connected right and in tight? I bought a used one off here from someone for like $30 and it works perfectly fine.

BTW i drove around for probably 4 months with the light on, and all it did was kill my acceleration and a little on my gas mileage. But it might have just been on its way out, mine randomly came on when i was driving.

yes both codes are related to the O2...get a new one and you'll be set. and make sure you reset the ECU
