Default -10 AN oil return line, oil pan adapter

planning on using a -10 AN bulkhead adapter on my oil pan. i know alot of people will suggest welding it in, but in the absence of time i may do it this way, with JB weld.

its been asked before, but just want confirmation that this is the correct part i need. thanks

yeah i guess you could use that. does the nut attach on the back on the inside of the pan? i originally was gonna use something like that but realized you start to run out of room to thread the nut on once you get through the pan and washers.

take a look at this thread. go about half way down the first page, look for username Sonny. i followed this method and it has worked flawlessly for 1 1/2 years. no messy jb weld either.

he used a fitting like this. its cheaper too.

Mine is shitty. I've just got a peice of 3/4" steel welded into the pan and have to use rubber return lines.

I plan on either patching my current oil pan or buying a better oil pan and getting a threaded fitting so I can use braided lines..

I assume braided lines ARE better. Yes?

I'm running a rubber return line, no problems. Stainless does look better though.

[/QUOTE].

this is what came with my peakboost kit, ive yet to install it but from pics ive seen people using it looks like a good fit.. id put the short side inside the pan that way u can keep tabs on how tight the nut is from the outside.. also use the flat nylon washers on each side of the pan..

the thickness of the oil pan is maybe 1/16" and with the two washers (one on each side) its prolly about 3/16" total thickness..

yeah if you look at the thread i posted, thay guy cut the short end off and then put it though the inside of the pan, washers on each side, nut on the outside. there is plenty of room left fo the stainless line to attach.
