Searched but nothing showed up. My car only revs up to 3.8k only, Whats wrong?
hey everyone i searched but i couldn't find one so i decided to make one. I own a 94 dx with a B18B1 swap. ECU is a B18B1 too. I'm stilling trying to fix the raidator as its broken because 1 tube is not getting coolant. I am running a CEL. Didn't figure how to use it but now i ran a ECU check on it and it showed up as 4 CKP - crank position sensor. Does anyone know where i can locate that or how i can fix that? Lots of help with be appriciated. This is my DD, right now i have a friend coming picking me up to go to work.

find the code that the ecu is spitting out
it sounds like your timing could be off so I would check that as well as the distributor cap, rotor, plug wire, and plugs

i had this problem 3 days ago, couldnt go past 3.5 then i replaced my distributor cuz everything in it was messed up and problem is gone

So it dies out if you don't step on the gas, and if you floor it you are only at 3,500 is this correct? You might want to check your throttle cable, and throttle bracket. Also check and clean the sensors on the throttle body with some brake cleaner..See if that works for you!
I tried what the FAQ's way but i don't know if i am doing it correctly. I stick the paper clips in the plug with the 2 blue wires and put the car to start and the CEL goes on then it just dies and doesn't come back no more. The CEL will only come back if i start the car up. I just replaced my dizzy not long ago, like only 2 1/2 weeks ago only.

The car doesn't die out it idols perfectly and yes if i floor it it revs up to only 3.8k. My throttle cable should be fine. I will try that thanks.

crank position sensor is down by the crank pulley... OBD1 cars do not have this sensor... i'm assuming you're using the OBD2a/b ecu? if so, get the jumper harness and ecu to switch to OBD1 and you'll be fine... OBD2a/b also had 2 oxygen sensors i beleive....

What do you mean switch the computer? Do you mean the Ecu?
