Idle is still a little low...
Hello again guys.
After trying to set my idle (idle set screw after unplugging my IACV) it is still idling low (i think) at about 700. I can't get the idle set screw to turn any further.
I've cleaned out my IACV (which is what caused the low idle to start with) and checked my TPS (closed = .51v, WOT = 4.56v).
Any idea what else I could be missing?
I know I probably need to give a little more info, but I'm not sure what you guys need to help me. so what do you want me to do?
what exactly is it supposed to idle at?

Not to my knowledge. I'm not the original owner of this car, the seller didn;t mention anything about having a lightened flywheel.
You said you cleaned the IACV, but try spraying some intake cleaner in the throttle body and scrub with an old tooth brush.
Did this last night on a friends car; the idle jumped back to perfect.
Same with gf's car and my own.

From what I've gathered, that shouldn't effect anything (a few years back I made a post suggesting it might, but it turned out to be something else).
Make sure the IACV is plugged in, etc. I've found mine to idle low from time to time because of weather or not being warmed up.

Thanks, I'll try that. anything I should know when doing that? like what not to do?
Would it be a good idea to remove the TB from the IM to clean it better? if I do that can I reuse my TB gasket?

Cleaning the throttle plate is a very good idea. Make sure you clean the backside
of the plate also. excessive carbon on the plate will make it idle funny. Had this
situation on a few integras at work.

intake and exhaust (stock header) is all related to the engine.

Not really.
Spray some in there, let sit for 2 secs, then scrub the insides with the toothbrush. Then do a few quick short bursts to blow the dirt out.
When you first start the car it will stumble for two seconds, so give it some gas, then go for a good blast!
Like someone else, make sure to get both sides of the throttle plate.

Thanks! If it wasn't raining today I would have tried it already.
I'll let you guys know how it goes when I get a chance to try it.

I cleaned out my throttle body, Damn that was messy. My idle went up only about 50 RPMs (which is still in spec) but I feel my idle set screw shouldn't have to set all the way open to get it there.
