Default battery question?

i have a 00' SI with the stock battery, and the eye that's supposed to be green to check the battery is not. I haven't had any problem but sometimes in the cold the car takes a while to start. should i change it or keep it? also what brand of battery
do you recommend.

how cold does it get there and how long does it take to crank it over? I've heard good things about Optima

it get's around 20 to 30 degrees. and it usually takes no more than 2 seconds because i leave it in start first for a second or two. also the optima battery looks like it won't fit will it?

Cold starts are always harder on a battery 2 seconds isn't that bad. I would imagine optima makes different sizes?

Cruse over to your local checker, schucks or autozone and have them test the battery for free, there setup will usually catch a battery that's on it's way out before it turns into a problem for you.
