You can get a JDM low mileage B16a full swap mated to a low mileage cable tranny with limited slip diff for less than that price from HMOnline. The B17 is kinda rare tho, so if you have a 2nd gen integra that came with one, maybe that could sway your decision.

if you already have a car with a b-series engine in it then you can buy a gsr longblock for cheaper, it will be stock, un-modified, and probably come with a warranty

you never know how the person built or treated the b17

actaully the motor belongs to a friend of mine, the compression of two of its cylinders were low and it was still keeping up with stock ebp's, but thats with h/i/e, and he believes its the pistons that are the problem in those cylinders, thats why he got the ctr cams...yay/nay?

he got the ctr cams because it pulled low compression in 2 cylinders?

it sounds to me like the rings did not seat as well as the other 2 cylinders, which may cause problems later on down the road

alright well here is the exact scenario...the motor has the two bad cylinders now without the pistons in yet. I have been told that i will be receiving the motor with 4 cylinders running at whatever the compression is suppose to be and thats with the ctr pistons installed...i just want to know that the motor will be fine in the future if this seals the problem.

if the damaged cylinders are not honed or bored over properly then yes you will run into major porblems

my advice is to invest your money into a stock engine and from there do the work yourself

it sounds like you already have your mind made up what you are going to buy, people said you can get a more reliable swap for cheaper
