Default ctr pistons in B17

Just wondering if CTR pistons will work in a B17 GSR motor.

thanks

What would the compression ratio be?

is there any rod you can use with them to lower the compression ratio a little. Im asking for a friend of mine

not any b-series, the p61 rod is the shortest at 132mm length, a b16 rod is like 134mm. Why don't you run some p30's or some USDM p73.

Thats wrong! The compression will be exactly what a CTR is.The B17 has a PR3 head.

not true, b16b uses a b18 block wich has a taller deck height than the b16a/b17.
pct pistons stick out of the deck because of compression height

what would the compression be with that combination. Is there any other better options

True...the B16b uses the B18C block which is 212.39mm if thats the B-series your talking about. The PCT (B16B) compression dome sticks out of the block and not the piston itself. IT doesn't matter that the B16B uses the B18C block with the taller deck height because it's offset with a shorter stroke (77.40mm vs 87.20mm B18c) and longer rod (142.3mm vs 137.9mm B18c).

My bad for saying thats wrong before I researched everything...this is true or very very close.

PCt's on a b16a block will stick out of the hole, and i mean besides the dome. pr3/p30 pistons have a different compression height than pct's; PCT's Using the same rod PCT's will sit .03'' higher in the bore than pr3/p30's; on a b16a block thats .01 out
