Default t3/t67 .82 a/r vs .63 a/r?

Well I currently have a t3/t67 .63 a/r. I can get a good deal on a .82 a/r of the same turbo. I am looking to make 600ish hp. Would it be wise to switch, what kind of increase in power would I be looking at and what is the spool difference between the 2. Going on a 84mm ls/vtec. What is your guys opinions on this? Thanks.

Your power band will change a little bit, but you are probably looking around a 400-600rpm spool difference. It really won't matter since you will most likely shift at 8k+ so you'll stay in a good power-band between shifts. You'll just have a little bit more lag but you'll definetely gain up top.

So the power difference outweighs the extra lag? I am definitely wanting all the top end I can get, just don't want to sacrafice too much useable powerband.

What turbien wheel do you have? Is it a Stage 5 T3 or P Trim aka HO wheel? The .82 A/R would be you best bet with a turbo that size because you want to reduce yoru backpressure to be as close as 1:1 as possible

I was thinking 8500 to 9000, my .63 seems to spool right at about 4800 to 5000. What is a good guess for spool on the .82?

Could you explain the 1:1 backpressure ratio? Not completely sure what you are talking about and I am always up for knowledge.
