Default damaged, but how much?

ok, i got a t3/t4 garrett turbo from a guy last weekend and later found out that he ended up selling it becuase his sleeve gave out, i wasnt too happy when i found that out.
anyways, the header and turbo were connected when i got it from him so when i got home i noticed there was some oil leaking out of the header, a lot more than i thought it should be, so i took them apart and turned the turbo so that the opening to the exhaust side was down and a bunch of oil poured out along with many little metal pellets, there were quite a bit of them too. i was growing a little more pissed off, so then i knew i had to take off the exhaust housing to see what was up inside of there. so i took it of and noticed this.

there were the three blades in that shot that actually had the metal torn and one or two others were just bent a little bit.

so i just wanted to know what i should do, the guy said we could work something out, this is my first turbo set up, i think i know a significant amount about them so dont flame me. i just dont know how much damage is too much.
also i noticed the metal "canister" type thing underneath the fan is able to lift up if you just pull up a little bit. this one in the pic thats circled, that seal is where it looks like oil is coming from.

i need to know what to do i have 3 options as of right now
1. keep it and just deal with it becuase its fine
2. get the money back and get one from blaast
3. get money to get it repaired

i kinda need to know what you guys think asap
thanks.

the wheel is fucked, return it

the metal sleeve will move when the housing isnt on the turbo, but oil shouldnt be leaking regardless. seals are shot

Make him buy you a knew wheel, and pay to have the wheel assembaly rebalanced. Turbocity.com Cheap for rebalancing. My Garrett is not sealed on that side. The only seal you have is a c-clip to hold the shaft in. It uses air pressures to hold the oil in, usually when i take of my turbo i get oil leaking there too.

Theres people on here that could get you it, or like i said get a hold of http://www.turbocity.com and talk to them, send them pics and tell them what turbo, get a qoute and get some cash from the original seller. If you have any good local turbo shops, take it there. They will know what wheel you need.

I'm from the other side of the state, so not sure over there. I have one for sure over here, I can find the info if you would like. Theres another actual performance shop, not sure if they do rebuilds, i know they know how to. I've had the best pricing come from Turbo city though. You could also just send out your wheels, and they can get you a new exhaust wheel, and then balance the wheels for you, just have to mark and put back the same. That would be cheap as well. PM me if you want the shops info.

youre welcome!!!! </TD></TR></TABLE>

basically the only way.

a standard rebuild is 250 without replacing wheels. so you are better off sending this *** his turbo back and buying a new one, it will be cheaper

I woudl definetley get him to either give your money back in full or pay for the repair. He shoudl have assumed the turbo was damaged if the engine blew.
