today i was driving and all of a sudden i look on the floor and my keys just fell out of the ignition and my car was still on. so i put it back in then 5 min. later it came out again wdf happened??

 

my brother's Fiero did that. not sure what it is exactly.

 

i've seen that happen in a lot of the older cars i've been in. It's either the key has been really used like the ridges are rounded or you ignition is bad if it's not any of those i wouldn't know either........good luck

 

if its the ignition congradulations you can basically now start the car with any key, happened to my friends car it was pretty cool!

fix it

 

had the issue with my car when I bought it. Replaced the key (cut by code at Honda) and it was fine since. I would try that first, its easy and cheap

 

bout how much would that cost?

cost me 9 bucks at honda to have a key cut for me

ignition cylinder with key can be bought for about 100 bucks or so

 

get a new cut key from honda dealer
