WHY does my car burn so much oil!??!?!

Default WHY does my car burn so much oil!??!?!

My car burns oil like a motherf*****!!! i have to change the oil every 1000 miles or so...and there's black smoke coming out of my muffler when i run it hard...anyone have any ideas?


My setup AKA poor mans type r:
pr3 head w/ JDM B-Series Valve Cover
94' b18c1 block
00' b16a2 tranny
Skunk2 Cam Gears
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
3'' Intake w/ AEM cone filter
B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator
Stage 1 Exedy Clutch
Type R Injectors
Type R Flywheel
Type R Fuel pump
Type R Oil pump
CTR Crank Pulley
Unknown strut bar
Energy Suspension mount inserts
BRAND NEW NGK Iridium Sparks w/ new NGK Wires
DC Sports 4-1 Header
Magnaflow Hiflow Cat
3'' Apex'i N1 catback

running rich, to much fuel maybe. got a cat on the car? if you have a straight pipe the excess gas thats not being burnt. try changing the fuel filter

i don't think running rich cause it to burn oil. might be a bad psiton ring or valve seal.

unless the head is cracked which unless a moron was torqing it down it shouldn't be and or it was super over heated i would say the rings are shot. try doing a compression test should find out which cylinder is leting oil in real quick if it burning it that bad.

If your compression is good, then I'd say it's your oil-control rings.

Search it up dude, there's an assload of info on it. I have the same problem.
