Quarter mile for me Poor Man's Type R
I raced a cobalt ss today. From 2nd gear roll, dig, to a 3rd gear roll...here's my question: ive seen people on here with the same setup as me and they run 14.0. i checked the quarter mile times for an ss and it's 14.6...am i running 14.6? because i ran almost only a car ahead of the ss from a 2nd and 3rd gear roll...huh??? sorry in advance if i make no sense...

At what speed? One car length is far less time than a second where I come from.

What do you consider slow? Cobalt SS' are fairly quick little cars. An H22 EG is also a pretty quick car. An H22 EG should have no problem getting into the 13s.

Re: Quarter mile for me Poor Man's Type R (Flite)
1 car means e had a gap about 1 car in in between the cobalt and the civic, at the end of a qauter that is roughly 1 second to one half second depending on how fast your going

Here's a novel idea. Go to a legitimate drag strip and determine what your car actually runs, rather than trying to figure it out by "2nd gear roll, dig, to a third gear roll" street races.

Ive got a Type S Spec H22 in My EG , I am getting down into the Mid to Upper 8's in the 1/8 Mile. I have some internals and some headwork. But that is Eagle F1's, and Tein Suspension. The driver must have not known how to drive the EK with H swap... Or he has serious motor problems. The Cobalts are stout, especially with a different pulley, and some dyno tuning, My buddy has one and he's around 9.0 in the 1/8 Mile. Best way to solve your problem is to go to track, and see what happens.

Go learn math and some common knowledge.
At 95mph a car is going about 140ft/sec. That is about 6 car lengths in between.

Re: (turboeg831)
Get rid of your GS-R pistons. Go for some P30's, or something w/ higher comp.
Ditch the B16 cams, CTR if your on a budget, if not get something else.
Have fun.

Re: (93EGB18C1)
Basically what you have is a stock motor that flows really well haha
but yea get some pistons, valve train, and cams....and a chip if not a tune....then alll that stuff you got will be put to good use....good luck
