GSR dizzy problems, help!
Car is a 95 hatch with 98 GSR in it converted to OBDI. Last week the dizzy started squealing real bad so I figured the bearing was bad so I borrowed a friend's OBDI dizzy and replaced it, it ran like crap so I checked the timing and with the dizzy all the way advanced (rotated toward the firewall) and I'm only getting 4 degrees of timing, cam timing was not messed with at all.
I've heard about ppl having to swap internals in a dizzy, how does that work? Any suggestions? Thanks.
Update: Tried on TWO dizzys and also used TWO different timing guns on there and same problem! Won't let me advance it past 4 degrees of timing!!!

booo, dizzy problems are the worst. i have one right now myself. if u want to swap internals such as the ICM or the coil, def get a haynes manual. itll show u everything.
Swapping the internals are really easy. Just take em out and put the other one in, they only go in one way and only fit one way so it's pretty easy, things to swap would be the coil and the ignitor, and if u want u could try buying a new cap/rotor cause they're pretty cheap.
