Default 98 GSR in 95 hatch dizzy issues...

Car is a 95 hatch with 98 GSR in it converted to OBDI. Last week the dizzy started squealing real bad so I figured the bearing was bad so I borrowed a friend's OBDI dizzy and replaced it, it ran like crap so I checked the timing and with the dizzy all the way advanced (rotated toward the firewall) and I'm only getting 4 degrees of timing, cam timing was not messed with at all.

I've heard about ppl having to swap internals in a dizzy, how does that work? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Update: Tried on TWO dizzys and also used TWO different timing guns on there and same problem! Won't let me advance it past 4 degrees of timing!!!
