I was trying to do some lauches with my new things. I would rev to bout 4 then drop clutch, it would hiot redline, I would **** to 2nd, then the speedometer would jump to like 50 or 55, but then it drops to like 30 or 40. once I kept the speedometer up but I dont really know how I did it. so, what do you rev to and when do you shift to second???

i rev to 4000 also and shift right before 8000

 

like when it is in first shift right before 8000??? or always?

 

It bogs because you are spinning all the way to redline, then you hit 2nd and hook up but aren't going fast. Dump it from 4k, then feather the gas until the tires hook up. That'll work better.

 

thanks, that sounds like what I did the time I did it good.

 

tach it to 3500 and drop it. dont let go of the clutch too fast cuz then your tires are gonna spin like crazy and youre goin to be "floatin" before your clutch grabs and spins your wheels. then... shift to 2nd at 7000 and just gas the **** out of it before redline.
