Default What is this seal called?



Part number 7. I thought it would be called cam end seal, or cam bearing seal, but neither had a match at the vato zone. I figure it's a dealer-only part, but I'd still like to know the exact name so I don't have to spend 5 minutes describing it to the parts guy. I'm leaking oil from it. Majestic honda just labeled it "rubber" at their site

Its called a "cam plug"

The oem ones suck, buy a 3 o-ring aftermarket one to replace the crappy oem one.....I have an STR on mine, never leaked a drop

yea this is a case where the aftermarket exceeded the oem...those stock ones always leak and for good reason too..look what theyre made out of

Why use that gooey crap when you don't have to? You're just asking for some of it to wash off in the oil and clog your pickup....

I suppose that is a good writeup, but you guys need to take it easy with the honda bond.....go take a look at your pickup, I guarantee it is clogged with little strings of honda bond....
