the o2 sensor probably will have to be replaced after running so rich, but the problem is right at startup its already extremely rich, isnt the car usually in open loop/ignores sensors during initial warmup?
that's the only reason i had to eliminate that.
the injectors... is it likely that all of the injectors will become stuck at the same time? ALL the spark plugs are black.

When the engine is started cold, it's in open loop. Open loop runs richer than closed loop because it's ignoring O2 feedback. I doubt all your injectors stuck open at the same time.

Is this just a stock D16Z6?

sounds like you need to recheck you timing belt. Does it have normal power? I'm guessing it's doggy as hell and you're off by a tooth or more.

the engine is completely stock, d16z6 95 civic ex coupe. ecu is stock P28, i've never touched the ecu.
i just rechecked the cam timing today, lined up fine

even before i replaced the timing belt it felt fine when i floored it, didnt feel like it lost any power.

when it's idling it bumps, feels similar to misfire.
when i move the throttle by hand even a little bit, will bog down to 500rpm like its about to die, then recover. this is also true for when i rev it.
seems like its so rich its bogging the engine down.

You replaced the timing belt - did you check the ignition timing with a timing light?

Are the distributor coil, wires and plugs OEM or Autozone and the like?

Get rid of the grounding kit and go back to stock gauge wire and stock mounting locations.

Did is just all of a sudden start running rich like that? Or after you did some bit of maintenance?
