Well i picked up a motor yesterday and the person said it had under 60k which i knew was all bullshit. I purchased the motor any cuz it was cheap and i pulled the valve cover and this is what i saw.

i see nothing. does that mean you saw nothing? if so, why did you even post?

 

They didn't change their oil.

 

Damn that almost looks like ***. If the motors still out put it on a stand and check your rod bearings, and replace them.

 

im probably gonna have to since im gonna boost it

 

my old motor had 130k boosted at 10 psi for 10k and the valves and evrything was still golden not doo doo brown

 

rebuild or boost till it blows

but its out and easy to do

 

When I purchased my old EJ1, the valve cover looked like that.

I slapped an intake on there and beat the hell out of it for 60k miles without issue.

The next owner ended up putting 4 motors in the car within the course of a summer though.
