Default battery problems??

hey,
just brought a eg5 today and noticed this problem just - every time i started the car at the test drive its been fine.

just started the car let it run for about 30 secs - no problem.

about 3 mins later the battery was flat - i had no electrics on except my interior light and the car wouldent start. just wondering what this could be ?

does it sound like a dead battery or possibly alternator problems?

wondered if you guys had any ideas?

thanks
scott

1--dont know if this is safe but if u get to star the engine unplug the batery while the engine is running if the car shuts off it means the alternator is dead.

2--take the batery out and take it to autozone or pepboys the'll checkit for u.

good luck...............

yeah that trick works. he alternator is suppose to keep the car running w/o the battery.

it might be your main relay. and if your car shuts off after those 3 minutes than check your fuel filter
