How would you describe this function
Car had been sitting eating dust for about 1 year and 5 months.
Using a perfectly fine battery from another civic (same battery). good battery.
Car doesn't have enough juice to start up, but if i jump it, it cracks up in half a self.
Drove the car two hours, started it, it cranked up, next day same thing, needs a jump.
What could be the problem. no i don't have my check engine light on.

check your terminal connections and make sure everything is cleaned and not corroded you could have something wrong in the connections preventing the alt from charging the battery do that first if still no luck i hate to say it but go to advanced or auto zone or something and have them check the alt - its free but sometimes not reliable.. but thats your best bet.

Don't go to AutoZone or anywhere else like that. They told me I needed a new alternator, but before purchasing one here's what I did; clean more than just the terminal connections...clean ALL of the connenctions that have to do with the charging system from the alternator to the battery. Also check your grounds. If that doesn't work, then I'd say alternator.

I went to auto zone, its not the altenator, they blame it on the battery
But, i think i will clean everything up and than try it.

If it's the altenator, then why won't the car start up with a perfectly fine battery? Like everyone said, check your connections.
