that high of an octane will only burn your money faster. only engines with high compression need it.

going to give u a a nice big no. octane doesn't necessarily increase hp 100 octane is race gas. It's like using 91 when you're tuned for 89, it won't increase HP. There's that theory that more octane = more hp, but you only really need to upgrade octane from suggested if you have lots of mods or tuned for higher octane. Also you go higher to avoid pinging, which is a high compression issue. If you're stock, it'll just remove money from your wallet and possibly make your engine run worse since 100 octane is harder to combust than 89 octane.

This is based on the discussion thread about octane and what I've learned from talking to other guys. Feel free to correct me if I threw myth in there, but I'm pretty sure 100 octane is pointless in your car.

The only thing a 100 octane fuel will do is deplete your wallet faster.

It only allows the engine to produce more compression before detonating strictly due to the pressure instead of the spark.

If you have a stock compression motor, there is no need for it.

however the death toll will rise to an astounding high when this thread is 12 pages long, still on the subject of how we might die in our professional life choices, hence (dying from an E-fight because somebody wanted to bust a cap in somebodys anus, because they thought 102 octane was better for the alternator)

My professional death will come from banging multiple strippers, or since i havent learned my lesson yet, i will probably die from getting shot speaking a "stripper redemption from getting your heart stomped on with 30" heels, motivational speach" and my 2 kids whos mommas still run the same pole since 94', will probably kill me for leaving their stripping momma, for somebody who is a little less, stripper. however enough of strippers, lets change the subject before somebody dies, or we get to 12 pages...

How bout that nuclear bomb testing huh? think bush is gonna whoop some ***?
