Default High Octane Gas

If I run 100 octane gas (Sunoco) in my 2001 GS-R will it hurt it at all? Just curious. It runs good on Ultra94 but just want to know what others think about the 100.

I'm not sure about any damage, some say it is hard on the cat to run very high octane gaz...

I can assure you though that a GSR would run to its full potential with 91-92 octane (it is only 10 to 1 compression after all). Anything higher than that means you are waisting money...

100 octane burns to slow for your 10:1 compression. if you run it you are gonna loose performance more than gain. it won't damage anything in the least.

Isn't race fuel leaded? I never paid any attention to the "Unleaded Fuel Only" sign on my tach...but now I am not sure if I want to run race gas in my B16a? Will it hurt/help?

100 octane is unleaded, pretty much everything above that is.

Leaded will #1 kill your cat, and #2 kill your O2 sensors.

They have unleaded high octane gas. Just have to look for it when you fill up. Or ask for it when you go to fill up.
