Default tranny allignment dificulties

Im puttingmy h22 back in and am having trouble alligning everyting properly. I can get hte tranny about 1/2 inch away form motor all around, but it seems like somehting in the shafts is not lining up. Im going to recheck hte clutch agian today to make sure its alligned correctly wiht hte exedy supplied tool. Any other suggestions? Also is it possible to insert the motr back in from the top withthe tranny bolted up, ive removed mostly everything from the engine bay so far.

The exedy tool is crap. You need to rap the very end in electrical tape till it is the same size as the hole in the crank. Then set it in. I had the same issue 2 days ago. The tip of the alignment tool is too small.

Yep, always inspect parts before the actual install so you can avoid these kinds of things. I had to put electrical tape on mine too.
