hmm nutty..

new Si motors have a steel oil pan, I see..
http://www.hybrid-k.com/tech/7gtech/...s/P0005125.htm

the RSX Type-S has a full blown aluminum oil pan I which I saw the other day in person..
http://www.hybrid-k.com/tech/7gtech/...s/DCP_1736.htm

the whole RSX chassis is pretty kewl if you look at it up close, underneath. No undercoating at all, a lot of metal parts are hollow, especially the crossmember, and some other kewl stuff....

for 40 extra NA horsepower? Yes, it's definitely worth it. If someone demonstrates that the Civic SI motor will swap into the base model civic (and i don't see why it wouldn't) then you could pick up a few extra bucks from the "old" engine ofsetting the cost of the swap.

Just my 2 cents.

I you familiarized yourself with the differences between those two engines, you'd change your statement. But look at the bigger picture here...if it's possible to swap in the RSX engine with relative ease, what about the DC5 R?

We are hoping to have the K20 bolt in kit for the '01 Civics by late June.
As for the next step on the Si I think a K24 block the next upgrade.
Then forced induction, probably supercharger (JR).
We did it, because everyone was thinking about doing it and someone had to be first.
The yellow paint is at the request of a magazine that wants it for a cover shoot. Personally, I prefer it in it's original black.
