so last night i'm at the track, and my turn comes up. no heating the tires up, just going for it. first gear, just spins mostly, up comes 7500 and shift to 2nd, traction for about .5 sec, then BANG!!! guess i'll just coast the entire 1/4 mile. ended with a 33. something, never even got my time slip. WTF turns out i broke the outer drivers side CV joint( the one next to the wheel) now I get home and i need some axles that arn't going to break. at least not with only around 200 hp. anyone out there have any good axle's that they are using in there car. i've heard good and bad things about raxales. and now way am i using place recing. anybody got anything for me??? thanks peace

What mount kit were you using? What intermediate shaft? What axle combo (lengths)?

place racing mount kit, custom right axle, and custom left axle with prelude half shaft. don't know lengths.

Sorry, Place mounts puts the H22 motor in an EG all weird. I use the HCP kit, similar position to HASport's kit but straighter IMO (I've seen a lot of H22 swaps). HCP and HASport use the same combo.... Prelude intermediate shaft w/86-89 teg axles w/Prelude inner joints (I run it, my friends run it, we all race our cars all the time and drive the **** out of cars on a daily basis... zero problems). Dunno what to use with Place mounts... sorry.

if you have place racing mounts then you have to use their axles. I running the same combo and its been working fine.

i can't get any service from place racing, they suck. i call, i write, nothing. i have two axles from them and i can't get my new one's. i'm forced to go to someone eles. i'm now tring The driveshaft shop stage 2 good for 300hp. lets see what happens....
