i got my new oil pan in. It seems inside the oil pan there is paint spray. What i mean is it seems pretty well coated with a spirnkled/sprayed paint. Almost like when they were spraying the outside of the oil pan that some got in the inside.. It this normal? it gives the inside of the oil pan a rough feel. I always imaged the inside of a oil pan was smooth and paint free. Last thing is need is a bunch of dry paint specks floating around in my oil!!

some come with paint from factory and some dont. If it's OEM then it's fine, if someone spray painted it then it's not.

If someone did it then make sure you take it off before using it, you wouldn't want oil contamination. You said its new though?

Rub it with a scotch bright pad to make sure nothing is going to flake off
