well a slight problem? from one day to the next my vtec stop working, why.
it always kicked in at 5,000 rpm. but from one day to next it just stoped. no mods were done. I removed vtec solenoid. clean out screen, air blowed all oil out check seals all good. what else could i do to solve problem.

bad ground, or a lose wire???

 

Get an oil pressure gauge and see what your readings are. Also check all your wiring for your VTEC and oil sensor.

 

wat kinda v-tec is it? and is the car swaped if so how is vtec wired... to the ecu or some k-mart jiffly lube tech blessed u?.. i-vtec or b or h series..... for b or h series motors... it could be simple as dirty oil believe it or not or not enough oil..... then check the connecor to the soleniod if its recieving a ground signal from the ecu.... if not check for the obious first (broken wires...loose connections...ect.) but before u do that go to the ecu and back probe the pin for the vtec wire make sure the ecu is doing its job,

 

ok check it out. speed sensor works/ so does my speedo in dash.
oil pressure is good. no oil light on dash. only when startup.
check wires good. good ground. tested vtec noid removed added 12 volts it clicked. so thats works. ecu is a stock p28 no cel light for that problem. just i know i have a bad o2. but it worked fine.vtec kicked in no problem. what else. please car runs like crap..................................

Dummy light only comes on when your under, i think, 10psi. It wont tell you if your running good oil pressure. VTEC needs 60psi to activate correctly.

 

1.6 ex motor -p28 stock.
vx motor pulled out about a year ago. vtec was pre wired.

 

hmmm. should i remove oil press sensor, clean replace

 

what else could be done

 

k but is the ecu sending a signal to the tec soleniod?.... if everything checks out good...change the oil..... it sounds dumb but sometimes dirty oil, or too thin oil will bite u in the ***.
