bad axle?

bad axle?

ok the passenger side axle is spraying out what looks like oil or somekind of dark liquid back into my firewall? wondering what it is?

where its coming out from

the spray marks on my battery

doesn't mean the axles is bad. If it isn't binding in turns just go to your local autoparts store, advanced auto parts, autozone, pep boys and get a reboot kit and fix the boot. Sounds like it has a tear/hole in the rubber boot.

The axle boot is torn somewhere which is allowing axle grease(black stuff) to spray everywhere when wheels are in motion.

I suggest you just buy a new axle and turn in yours as a core. Pep Boys has a life time warranty.

either that or just spend $10 and get a new boot.. and repack it.
