Alright these seem to be good, but the thing is this.
When I went to put the nut on the axle, the axle seems shorter.
However I didn't get a chance to measure the length between oem and reman one because i bought in the broken one the same time I got the new one.
Could this be possible.
I mean the car drives fine and that was the culprit of vibrations, but it is weird that it is shorter

How much shorter is it? Were you able to thread the axle nut the entire way onto the axle or are there threads left in the axle nut that are not in contact with the axle?

if you have a swapped engine r u sure u git the wright halfshaft or did you check the bitch clip on the end of the axle tranny side

its not shorter, axles have room to expand and contract, when your suspension goes up and down, the axle has to expand and contract at the CV boots. You probably had one axle compressed and one axle extended, if you compress both they will be the same size.

But good job for noticing. Oh and as long as the splines line up and there is NO play in them you are good to go.

I run 10psi daily on some advanced autoparts axles, they are pretty decent.

it's a z6 so they're all the same axles except the abs ones.
Also only 2 threads aren't touching

That's a good 20% or so of the nut then probably. Everytime I've ever done it, when I put the axle nut back on, I just keep tightening it and it pulls the axle out as far as it will go. I guess if you're able to push the part in on the nut that sits inside the axle itself (kind of the makeshift keyway), then you should be ok. And if it drives fine too of course.
